Halloween night sights...

Our Jack O' Lantern and luminaries.
Our collection of pumpkins on our porch.
Katelynn's candy.
Carson's candy.
Carson and Daddy crashed out on the couch after our candy-gathering adventure.

Happy Halloween!

Dash and Cinderella.
Trick or Treat! Carson would ring the doorbell
and even Katelynn figured out how to say trick or treat to get candy :)
We had a fun night walking around our neighborhood, gathering up candy.

It's pumpkin carving time!

Drawing out the shapes on our "bumpy pumpkin"
Carson didn't like the "goo" inside the pumpkin.
Reggie sure liked the "goo" and tried to eat it all up!
All done! Mr. Jack O' Lantern.
Carson admiring his glowing "bumpy pumpkin".

Mickey's Trick or Treat Party!

All ready to trick or treat at California Adventure!
Little Cinderella, Katelynn with Disney's Cinderella.
Take a close look at the "women" in the photo, dressed at the Evil Stepmother and Stepsisters. They didn't work for Disney...these were their costumes...amazing!
Dash and Mr. Incredible
Dash with his lollipop, yum!
We had so much fun at Mickey's Trick or Treat party! We walked around the park and filled up our bags at the treat stations. We went on a couple of rides and met a few of the charachters. The next morning we were going over our evening and I asked Carson, "What was your favorite part?" and he answered, "ALL of the parts!"

Pumpkin Pickin' in the OC.

Fun in the sun...The Mitchell Family with the scarecrow.
Jon and Sheree posing in the patch.
It was Jon's first pumpkin picking adventure :)
We went to Tanaka Farms in Irvine, the weekend before Halloween. We walked the patch and picked them right off the dried up vine. It was HOT, about 85 degrees!!! Jon and Sheree joined up for our pumpkin adventure and we all had a great time.

Feeling like Fall

We are so happy to be back in SoCal, but we do miss Fall in Seattle. Wearing sweaters and scarves, picking pumpkins in a muddy field, watching the beautiful leaves turn yellow, red and orange.

Bate's Nut Farm...a family tradition.

Grandpa Tom, Nana, Mommy, Carson and Katelynn went to Bate's Nut Farm. Carson went when he was about Katelynn's age.
Has anyone seen Katelynn?
Carson picked a big pumpkin.

Bate's Nut Farm has been a fun, fall activity since I was a little kid. It has gotten bigger, with more activities, and you can't pick the pumpkin off the vine, but it still brings back the great childhood memories. It is so much fun to pass on the tradition and go with generations of our family.

Different house...same trouble.

Katelynn continues to find new ways to make it out of her clothes and diaper. She slept in the pack-n-play at Nana and Grandpa Tom's house, and in the morning I found her without a diaper, without pants, and wearing her shirt as a low-rise skirt.

Reggie's 3rd Birthday!

Carson and Katelynn wait with Reggie and Molly for the party to start.
Reggie ate all of his birthday treat and then moved on to finish up Molly's ice cream.
Bronco relaxed and ate his treat.
Scout enjoying some ice cream.
Reggie celebrated his third birthday on the 20th of October. We had a party at Nana and Grandpa Tom's house and invited over Gran and Grandpa Bill's dog, Molly. Reggie had fun running in the backyard with his dog friends, Bronco, Scout and Molly. The dogs ate special ice cream treats and the people had tasty cupcakes that Carson and Grandpa Tom made for the party.

Say yes to the dress...

We were at my parent's house recently and had my wedding dress out. Katelynn loved playing dress up in my gown and veil. What little girl doesn't love putting on a pretty dress?

Congratulations Greg and Erin!

The beautiful backdrop of the San Diego skyline at sunset.
And the family continues to grow...welcome to fam Auntie Erin :)
The happy couple, Mr. and Mrs. Cahoone.

Paul's brother, Greg, got married the first weekend in October. The ceremony and reception took place on a boat out on the bay at sunset. There was a bit of rain earlier in the day (I know, shocking for San Diego), but it all cleared up for a beautiful sunset during their vows. Erin is so sweet and so much fun, we are really fortunate to have her in our family.

More trouble...

I was in the kitchen and Carson yelled at me, "Sissy's climbing!" I figured she had made her way to the back of the couch or maybe the table again. To my surprise, she had climbed on a basket, on to the quilt rack, and stood up to grab stuff off the corner cabinet. She was tall enough to look me in the eye...crazy climbing girl.

Big enough for roller coasters...yeah!

Carson and Mommy went to Disneyland with Lucy and her family for her 5th birthday. It was the first time Carson was tall enough to go on all of the roller coasters. He loved it!!! He rode The Matterhorn, Autopia, and Big Thunder Mountain for the first time.
See how big?!? Tall enough for Big Thunder Mountain coaster.
Carson and Lucy on the teacups.
Big enough for Autopia too! Carson had fun driving the cars.

Silly kids.

The kids wanted to watch a movie in Carson's room. I went in a little while later and they were both crashed out...Carson on top bunk, and Katelynn on the bottom bunk.

Silly dog.

I was packing up the car to drive down to San Diego for a few days. I was very careful to make sure all the car doors were closed, because Reggie likes to hop in, to ensure he gets to go on the trip. I heard something in the garage, and found our silly dog, waiting in the trunk.

Surfing with Grandpa Tom.

Checking out the waves, before the paddle out.
Carson had a blast riding the surf with Grandpa Tom.
Nana and Grandpa Tom spent a week camping at San Elijo State Beach. Carson loved watching the trains throughout the day across the street and had fun playing in the sand. His favorite part of the week was spending time in the ocean, surfing with Grandpa.

Carson's first day of Preschool.

And the journey begins...
Katelynn wanted to go to school with Brother too.
Talking to Daddy (in Italy on business) before he goes in for his first day of school.

Playing at the top of the loft in his classroom.

Carson with his teacher, Miss Donna.
Carson started preschool the second week of September. Paul was in Italy, for work, but he made sure to call Carson just before he went in for his first day. Sheree went with us, to be "moral mommy support". Gran surprised Carson and came with Mommy to pick him up. Carson is a lucky kid and goes to preschool three days per week at the same school that Daddy, Uncle Ryan, Auntie Shannie, and Uncle Timmy went when they were little.
