Going to the Dentist...

Carson had been to the dentist once, but I have to admit...It was when we still lived in Seattle. Katelynn had not been yet, so we made their first appointments together. Carson went first and did a great job. Katelynn followed up after watching her big brother and did great too! Overall, it was a good experience for all and they are better at having their teeth flossed and brushed now.
Carson did a great job and stayed very still while the hygenist examined his teeth.
After they looked at his teeth, they cleaned them too and took a couple of xrays.
. Katelynn just had her teeth looked at and counted by the dentist. She was too young for a cleaning or xrays, but she still got to pick a prize at the end.

Easter egg hunts...

Looking back at Easter 2009 and this year's 2010 egg hunt. Last year, Katelynn wasn't even walking yet, so she scooted along or crawled on the grass to find eggs. This year, they ran around so fast, I had trouble stopping them for photos!

The early morning church service with all of the excitement of having family and friends over...exhaused the kids and they both fell asleep in the living room before bedtime.

Looking back...Our 2009 Easter photo.

After I looked out our 2010 Easter photo, it made me reminisce and look back to find our 2009 photo. I knew Katelynn was going to look like a baby...but didn't expect to see so much change in Carson. He really has grown into a boy.

Easter family photos.

We were SO fortunate to have all three sets of grandparents with us on Easter Sunday. It was really great to have everyone together for the holiday and am happy for our kids to have such wonderful grandparents in their lives.

Easter brunch...and an earthquake!

We had a big group over for Easter brunch, but we had even MORE food!!! Pancakes, french toast, coffee cakes, casseroles, quiches...oh my!!! Did I mention we had bacon, sausage and lots of fruit too?!? We finally got everyone served, sitting and eating in the dining room...and Gretchen said, "Ummm...I think we might be having an earthquake. Does anyone else feel that?" By then, yes, we all felt it and in true "Southern California Fashion" sat calmly at the table, and talked about how MUCH it was shaking and how LONG it was shaking for. Nothing fell off the shelves, just some swinging of our chandeliers and then, after we turned on the news to get info, sat back down and finished brunch. It was Carson and Katelynn's first earthquake and now both of them think, "earthquakes are fun". Silly kids!

Easter Sunday at Angel Stadium.

Our church celebrated their 30th Anniversary on Easter Sunday. The service was held at Angel Stadium, bringing together all of the sattelite campuses and services at one place, at one time. It was a beautiful service with great worship music and a powerful message of hope from Pastor Rick. The sun was warm and the day was beautiful! (Completely blessed since it poured the entire next day)

The kids got great goody bags when we walked in, with snacks, water, a Saddleback Church coloring book, crayons and pencil. Katelynn enjoyed having her own seat and coloring in her new book.
Carson and Daddy watching the service and enjoying the music.
Our sevice concluded with a performance from The Jonas Brothers. Carson watches them on The Disney Channel and was excited to see them "at easter church, at the big A".
Carson and Katelynn walking back to the car with Daddy. The kids did a great job during the service, keeping busy with the activities we brought, and the goody bags they got when we walked in. Both kids were pretty proud to be able to carry their own backpacks.

Looks like the Easter Bunny has been here!!!

Yummy! Carrots and orange juice for the Easter Bunny.
Great goodies in our Easter baskets.

Palm Sunday brunch at The Groff's.

We had a great time at Uncle Tom's and Aunt Kathy's house on Palm Sunday. We enjoyed brunch and swimming in the pool. Even after we got out of the pool, Katelynn bent down and dunked the top of her head in a puddle (which is why her head is SO soaked!)
Katelynn shared her cake with Leilani the dog.

Swimming in the springtime.

Katelynn swimming with Grandpa Mitch.
Carson had fun playing water polo with cousin Tommy.
Daddy with his little fishies.
Cousin Tommy jumped off the wall into the pool. Carson thought it was one of the coolest things he had ever seen!!!

"Easter Park"

My Moms Group at chuch hosted an Easter egg hunt at our local park. It was on a school day, so we went for a bit, found some eggs, played with friends, then took Carson to preschool. The kids had a blast and Carson was so excited to tell his teacher, Miss Donna that he had spent the morning at "Easter park."
Time for an Easter egg hunt!!!

More fun with family at Disneyland...

Uncle Timmy was home for Spring Break so he and Grandma Mitch joined us for a fun day at Disneyland. We had a great time sharing the fun with them. Carson and Katelynn love showing off their favorite rides to family.
Carson finally got a chance to meet Buzz Lightyear!
Uncle Timmy and Carson had fun on Autopia. Carson loves to drive!

Another fun day, another fun ride on Dumbo.
Katelynn fell asleep in her stroller, on our way out the front gates.

Daddy and Carson joined us at Disneyland.

After a fun afternoon at "Dad's Day" at Carson's preschool, they joined us at Disneyland for an evening of Dumbo rides, dinner and fireworks.
Yeah!!! Carson and Daddy having fun on Dumbo.
Katelynn LOVES throwing her hands in the air and screaming, "Whee!!!"

Mommy and Katelynn's day at Disneyland.

Katelynn and Mommy went to Disneyland together while Carson and Daddy went to school for "Dad's Day". We went to Princess Fantasy Faire to meet as many princesses as we could. Katelynn has become scared of the large costumed charachters (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, etc) in the past few months, but she still loves the princesses!
Katelynn with her new Princess autograph book and pen, waiting to see some princesses.

Katelynn's favorite princess is Cinderella. She was SO happy to meet her!

Riding bikes in the backyard.

Carson and Katelynn love to rides their bikes together in the backyard.
Katelynn can't quite pedal yet, so she just scoots her feet around.
She thinks that she is "riding bikes" and loves it!!!
Carson literally rides circles around his sister.

Katelynn's 2 Year Checkup.

Waiting to see the doctor...
Katelynn had a check of her iron level and cholesterol. The nurse poked her toe and took a teeny bit of blood...no tears!
Katelynn did a great job while Dr. Dyer examined her.
Tears and screaming came when Katelynn put the little ear speculum in her mouth, so Dr.Dyer took it away. Boo hoo!!!
